Don't be surprised if you no longer recognize your friends
or relatives. Someone may show up with a completely new hairdo, wardrobe, cause,
or personality. Why? Because for the next two years the planet Saturn will be in
the sign Leo. Saturn will move on to Virgo in September of 2007.
Saturn is all about building form, and Leo is the sign of identity
and individuality. Put the two together, and you have a formula for a new
persona. What is Saturn doing in your horoscope?
Not Just One of the Crowd
Saturn is about building solid foundations, doing what is right, and respect for
work well done. Leo is about identity, especially for children and teens. If you
know someone who is just going along with the crowd, being part of the clique,
or riding on someone else's coattails, it will no longer get them very far.
Proper, responsible, individuality will win the day over lazy, frivolous,
personalities. As you know, geeks, nerds, and dorks, are becoming successful and
famous overnight. Saturn loves to reward those who are serious about life with
business success and of course that leads to money.
Here's a tip: any business started when Saturn is in Leo will usually be
successful for a long time. Microsoft is a good example.
This does not mean that you have to be a "brain" in the conventional sense of
the word. It means that you no longer have to be a carbon copy of everyone else.
It means that you have the chance to walk among your peers as yourself.
I'm a Dork and Proud of It
Within days of Saturn's change from Cancer into Leo, there was a byline in the
news about Steffi Weiss, a 15 year old violin player from Chicago. She finally
decided that she was proud to play in the school orchestra. Steffi and a friend
wore special sports jerseys to school with "ORCH DORKS" on the front, their last
names on the back, and a violin on the sleeve. [That is so like Leo - wear your
heart, what you love, on your sleeve]. Steffi said, "We used to not be able to
stand the fact that we were in the orchestra. Finally, we realized that's where
all our friends are, and that's where we have the most fun. So why not just say
we're dorks?"
Being a nerd, geek, or dork is now trendy, and for some teens it has become
financially successful. More and more kids are starting to stand up for
themselves, and leave their catty peers in the dust.
This trend is
not just for kids. Adults had fun being different.
Muggles and Modders
Many forms of creativity are going to change. Even though Saturn is "by the
rules", he says "if they don’t work, change them". It’s already happening as
people are making up new rules with incorrect spelling, grammar, and made up
words, modders, bloggers, and muggles. Writers want fun, and don’t care what
others think [Leo is all about fun]. They can now publish on the internet, and
often become overnight wonders. Writing must come from the heart, [another Leo
trait] or it won’t make news or sales. People are tired of time-wasting books,
articles, and pamphlets, that sound like long tomes of legalese. We are now used
to two-second, media sound bites, and narrow, condensed, newspaper columns.
Move Over Lucy Ricardo
The movie "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" is a great example of zany
writing. Some viewers were just shaking their heads and saying "what, huh?" and
they still loved it. Snippets of the movie stood out in their minds, and that is
what is important. After the movie, a child said to her parent, “I wish we could
have grandparents live with us just like in the movie”.
[Just a hint - In 2009 we are going to start downsizing our material lives. We
are going to get tired of too much stuff, and have problems with things that are
big and empty. So maybe our grandparents will come home.]
Let's Dance and Have Some Fun
It isn't often that the planet Saturn has a chance to have fun. For the next two
years Saturn, and Leo the entertainer, may find a way to work together, and make
it feel good. Don’t fret. This is not a license for bad behavior. Saturn always
leaves a string attached, so if anyone goes over the limits, Saturn will reel
them in. There is a downside - Saturn change never comes without a price.
The Price Is Right
We are seeing Saturn's price. If a person does not guard [Saturn], and respect
[Leo] their individual identity, it will be stolen. Identity theft is getting to
be big business. [Saturn]. If you don't pay attention, your identity may be
misused, and you will pay the price, whether it is through money, anxiety or
frustration.
