On October 25, 2005 Jupiter will go into Scorpio and remain there until November 23, 2006. Scorpio is a very intense and powerful sign, quite a challenge for benevolent Jupiter. Jupiter is the King of the Gods and likes a lot of power, but only if he can have fun while he is passing out decrees and ruling the land -- Scorpio is not about fun, it is about intensity and getting to the bottom of it all. Scorpio is a fixed sign, and Jupiter is not a fixed planet. Jupiter does not like to be still for long, so Jupiter will not be a happy camper for the next year. This is not to say that Jupiter will not have his good moments. Jupiter is all about being joyful and the life of the party, expanding the world, and finding new horizons. As ruler of the world he likes to call his subjects together to his court to meet and socialize. He likes to have well-rounded and well-traveled emissaries. As a ruler, Jupiter likes to be involved with how the kingdom is run, and he will stick his nose in the law and courts, universities, religion, travel and philosophy, but only on a superficial level. In the sign Scorpio he will have to take a much deeper part in the world than usual. He will have to get his hands dirty and look at the muck. "Thank goodness", he is probably saying, "it will only be for one year", so he will come to terms with it.
He is being tricked into the excitement of it all by a trine to Uranus shortly after he enters Scorpio, and he gets off to a good start, a little unusual, but nevertheless, he jumps right in. But woe to all his subjects,
Jupiter is going to get more than he bargained for. No sooner does he leave Uranus than he hears about a squabble with Saturn, Neptune, and the Moon, as they form the dreaded T-square. Of course they are going to put all the blame for their troubles on Jupiter. He is the King you know, and he should be able to solve anything. The King just watches and waits, hoping they will work out their differences.
This means that leaders will have to shoulder a lot of blame.
Jupiter is affected by the aspect with
Neptune who is in charge of all the seas, and all liquids such as oil and spirits. Neptune lives under the sea in a world that always looks wavy and dreamy, and it is so still and peaceful - who would want to leave a such an idyllic world?
Neptune is involved with Aquarius now who is making him unusually erratic and rebellious. Neptune does not like his beautiful world disturbed and some humans on terra firma are rocking and rolling his world, taking whatever they want without asking, without any
consideration, or thought of the consequences to the larger group. So he will find ways to hold back what the world above wants more than anything else- black gold ,creating storms and
inundations. This new Aquarius side of his personality makes him very stubborn, and he will hold out as long as is necessary. He knows he is doing this for the good of all.
The Moon doesn't like being in Leo, but she is trying to act like a regal co-ruler should, and solve the dilemma. The role of Leo is a little hot for her, and she does not have patience for such shenanigans. Usually she will roll with the tide, but Leo is bringing out her stubborn side as well. She doesn't like having to stick around, and doesn't want to think that far ahead. It is important for her to have her resources now, things change so quickly and the needs may be different tomorrow. Saturn is standing behind her and he doesn't like the influence of Leo either - too frivolous for him, "work don't play" is his motto. He wants to get down to business and solve the problem. A whisper of guilt follows him around for he knows his authoritarian ways may have caused the problem. "Business will solve humanities problems", he always says.
Hotheaded Mars, in the bullish sign of Taurus, is paying attention for a change to what is going on around him. He wants to put in his two cents, and get everybody moving, so he gets closer to them. Maybe if he stirs up the pot, Neptune will come out of hiding and things will get more interesting. For the next few months he is putting a leash on his assertiveness, but watch out when December comes.
This is the dance that will be going on for the next year. A tuggle over oil, dreams cut down by Saturn, and cut out by Mars, aggression from Mars, and changes from the Moon. We have to cut out the old to make way for the new. We have to look at what
garbage has created in our over expanded world. It won't be easy, and we may not like it, but we have to get involved and get our hands dirty. If we don't clean up the mess who will? -- Neptune with his watery world, or Mars with his fiery temper, or Saturn who can shake the world?
At least Pluto of the underworld is in a cooperative trine to the Moon helping to create a new order, and carrying those across who have moved on. And if we examine the trine closely we see that the North Node of our destined future is involved. What can you do to help out in this dilemma?
Jupiter is the King of
the Gods, but he is not a mundane King ruling over humanity,
he is the king over all gods. He rules how the gods
interact with mortals.
