Time conversions from Universal Time

UT does not use Daylight Savings Time, the  time remains the same all year round. To convert your time zone add 5 hours to the time, then subtract or add your local time difference from the listed UT time  [making allowance for daylight savings time] West of Greenwich, England - subtract  from the time, east of Greenwich, England - add to the time zone.

Example: Cairo, Egypt is + 2 hours from UT. The Full Moon on 12/15/05 is at 16:15 UT.  Add 2 hours to 16:15 = 18:15, then subtract 12 hours to determine if it is AM or PM.  18:15 - 12:00 = 4:15 PM standard time. The Full Moon on 12/15/05 occurs at 4:15 PM local standard time. Don't forget to convert to Daylight Time if necessary

Daylight Savings begins on April 2, at 2 AM EST - turn clocks ahead one hour
DST ends October 29 at 2 AM EST - turn clocks back one hour
