What’s Up for this Season
The December Solstice occurs on 12/21/06 at 7:23 PM. The solstice sets
up the patterns and themes for the next three months.
The prominent themes will be children, fun, and creativity. Be the
creator, look for the pleasure in life, and work on freeing your
expressive self. There will also be a hint of romance in the air for you
or others.
Two planets are retrograde, Mercury and Saturn. A retrograde means that
the planet does not act in a normal fashion. Mercury goes Rx 2/13/07 and
direct 3/7/07. Saturn goes Rx 4/19/07 and direct 12/09/07.
Mercury retrograde is always a time of reviewing, and redoing anything
that involves thinking and communicating. Make sure you back up your
computer work, have an extra car key, and, read the small print
carefully before signing contracts.
Saturn retrograde gives us a chance to go over the structures in our
life. Are you too rigid, or have you put so many limits on things and
set up so many boundaries that you can’t move? This especially applies
to career and goals.
The last week of January finds us in the midst of a square between
kingly Jupiter and disruptive Uranus. Many people are getting antsy, and
this is not just cabin fever. This is due to a sense of a change of
fortune, and people are ready to get moving. Be clear about what you
want and don’t give up. Things will take root, and you’ll see the shoots
in the spring. There will also be disgust with the way of the world and
people in power.
The end of February continues the winter blues, and brings a tug of war
between any idealistic feelings and reality. If anyone is on the wrong
path, this is a bubble bursting time, and illusions are exposed. We’ll
see this on the political level with the War in Iraq. Don’t believe
everything you see or hear, and don’t play the blame game. The good side
of this transit between Saturn and Neptune is the opportunity to balance
dreams with reality, and the chance to ground the things that really
matter. Don’t fret, if you don’t get around to building good dreams,
you’ll have another chance in the summer.
You’ll get some help from lucky Jupiter and hard working Saturn in
March. This is a good time for long range goals, business expansion,
finding practical solutions, and working by yourself. Plan on
responsible expansion that allows freedom.
The eclipses in March bring a bunching up of energy. In the US, there will be a
focus on the military, health, hospitals, or pets. For us personally,
this is a time to look after our own health, feed our spiritual needs,
and perfect our craft.
